Cooperation between PCTMCDB and IOF/TU to conduct research on “Estimation of the Forest Biomass bearing capacity of Chure mountains”

President Chure Terai Madhesh Conservation  Development Board (PCTMCDB ) Khumaltar , Lalitpur and Tribhuwan University , Institute of Forestry , Dean Office Balkhu ( IOF/TU )signed  an agreement to conduct the research on “Estimation of the Forest Biomass bearing capacity of Chure mountains” .

Member Secretary of PCTMCDB Mr Ganesh Paudel and Assistant Professor Dr. Bikram Manandhar of IOF/TU signed a contract paper on Friday , Baishakh 19^th,2082.  According to contract the research project period is from 2082/01/19 to 2082/03/15 B.S.

The objective of the study is  to estimate the soil bearing capacity, water holding capacity and infiltration rate of  various forest types /tree in the study area and to assess the biomass accumulation of various types of forests in the study area.
